02About this website
This website gives general information about Caspian Trading Venture and the goods and services we offer. Product descriptions and photographs are for illustration only — some images are representative stock photographs — and the exact specification of any order is the one agreed in writing.
03Quotations and orders
- Prices and details shared on this website, by WhatsApp, email or phone are indicative and are not an offer to sell.
- Quotations are valid for the period stated on them and may change with market prices, freight rates, exchange rates and government duties.
- An order is binding only when confirmed in a written contract, sales confirmation or proforma invoice signed or accepted by both parties.
- Delivery terms are interpreted under Incoterms® 2020 as agreed in the contract (for example FOB, CFR or CIF).
04Payment
Payment terms — such as Letter of Credit (LC), Telegraphic Transfer (TT) or Cash Against Documents (CAD) — are agreed for each order in the contract. Bank charges are shared as stated in the contract.
05Quality, samples and inspection
Goods are supplied to the specification agreed in the contract. Samples are representative of the agreed quality. Third-party inspection can be arranged on request; its cost is borne as agreed in the contract. Any quality claim must be raised within the period and in the manner set out in the contract.
06Shipping and delivery
Shipment dates and transit times given are estimates. Risk and costs pass to the buyer as per the agreed Incoterm. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, ports, customs or authorities beyond our reasonable control.
07Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, war, strikes, government restrictions, port closures or export bans.
08CBM calculator and tools
The CBM calculator and other tools on this website give estimates only. Final container planning, freight and costs are confirmed in your quotation.
09Intellectual property
The Caspian Trading Venture name, logo and the content of this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written consent.
10Links to other websites
This website may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp, email and social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website. Our liability for any order is limited as set out in the contract for that order.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to this website is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in West Bengal, India, unless the contract for an order provides otherwise.
